I’ve been tying a lot of flies lately, trying my hand at the classic salmon flies.
I love the Lady Caroline Wing, and put an alarm on a lot of areas flies just for the practice.

It’s difficult to get the tent quite right on the Lady Caroline style wing, but satisfying to get one right or close to right.
I’ll post a few pictures here because it seems kind of dumb to post them on Instagram while  I have this website that I need to do something with.  These flies fish well, but my buddy Tre picked my pocket recently using a burnt chicken all things, which is a very cool and productive fly so I tied up a bunch of those, kind of. Mine are a little on the wild side as you will see.

both flies are easy to cast. The burnt chicken a little more Skagity, but fish love it.
